Specifically, she was accused of changing the primary and secondary ownership of CDs for existing customers, which qualified her for incentive credits otherwise not eligible to her.
Allegations Against Luis Jean-Bart
Luis S. Jean-Bart has three disclosed negative incidents in his FINRA record:
- Regulatory Action: FINRA initiated a regulatory action on July 12, 2024, for failure to respond to FINRA’s information requests. This led to a suspension from association with any FINRA member firm, effective from August 5, 2024, to October 14, 2024. The suspension was lifted on October 14, 2024, after compliance.
- Customer Dispute: A pending state court complaint, served on August 30, 2023, alleges that Jean-Bart, along with others, caused the plaintiffs to participate in an investment club run by a third party unaffiliated with PFS Investments. The alleged damages amount to $1.4 million. Jean-Bart denies the allegations, and the litigation is ongoing in the Superior Court of Hudson County, NJ (Docket # HUD L003054-23).
- Employment Termination: On January 26, 2024, Jean-Bart was discharged from PFS Investments following the allegations related to the purported investment club involvement that resulted in client losses.
